Social media personality and activist, Scott Iguma, has leveled serious accusations against the Nigeria Police Force, claiming they are actively working against the country's justice system. His statements come just three days after being granted bail following his arrest over allegations related to a real estate company.

Iguma was arrested and remanded in prison by a Lagos State High Court after publicly criticizing PWAN, a real estate company he accused of scamming customers. On Monday, he was granted bail set at N10 million.

In a video shared on Thursday expressing gratitude to the public for their support, Iguma detailed his experience with law enforcement, painting a troubling picture of police conduct in Nigeria.

"With my experience with the Nigeria Police, it's quite so sad. What I can say with my experience with the police is that they are not loyal to the country Nigeria, they are not loyal to the law of Nigeria, to justice. All they are loyal to is money," Iguma stated.

He further alleged that corruption within the police force runs deep, claiming, "The Nigerian police are so cheap that you can bribe them with a bottle of coke, and they will help you convict an innocent man for murder. With what I saw, and what they did to me, is so sad."

Iguma's case has drawn significant public attention, highlighting ongoing concerns about the relationship between law enforcement, justice, and the protection of free speech in Nigeria, particularly when it involves criticism of powerful business interests.

The activist's arrest followed his public statements against PWAN, which led to cybercrime and defamation charges. His subsequent release on bail represents a temporary reprieve as the legal proceedings continue.

This case adds to growing public discourse about police reform in Nigeria, where accusations of corruption and abuse of power have been persistent challenges in the country's law enforcement system.
