Nigerian rapper and activist, Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has made a striking statement about President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during a recent interview with Soundcity.
When asked what comes to his mind upon hearing the President's name, Falz responded with a single word: "Hardship," adding "No elaboration" to emphasize his point.
This isn't the first time the "Wehdone Sir" crooner has expressed criticism toward the current administration. Last month, Falz argued that Nigeria has retrograded under President Tinubu's leadership.
During an interview with Arise TV, the artist stressed that not much progress has been made since Tinubu took office, adding that the President has the remaining two years of his tenure to prove himself.
Falz, who has established himself not only as a musician but also as a vocal activist, has consistently used his platform to comment on socio-political issues affecting Nigerians.
His latest comment comes amid growing concerns about the economic situation in Nigeria, with many citizens expressing frustration over rising costs of living and economic hardship.
The administration has faced criticism from various quarters regarding its economic policies and their impact on everyday Nigerians, with public figures increasingly voicing their opinions on the matter.
As of the time of this report, there has been no official response from the presidency regarding Falz's comment.
