The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Taraba State has issued a stern warning to its members against engaging in activities supportive of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), labeling such actions as anti-party behavior that will attract punishment.

In an official statement released by the state party chairman, Abubakar Bawa, through his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Habu Ardo, the PDP revealed it has been monitoring certain members allegedly showing sympathy toward the ADC.

The party leadership expressed concern over this development, warning that any involvement with the new coalition would result in severe disciplinary measures against offending members.

Governor's Loyalty Reaffirmed

The statement emphasized that Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, remains firmly loyal to the PDP and is committed to upholding the party's ideals. The party cautioned that any attempts to link the governor or the PDP with the ADC through propaganda would be treated as a serious offense.

"Members are urged to desist from promoting or sympathizing with the ADC on social media or other platforms," the statement read, adding that violators would face sanctions.

The PDP further called for unity and loyalty among its members to protect the integrity of the party across Taraba State.

This warning comes amid growing political realignments in Nigeria as parties position themselves ahead of future electoral contests.
