A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, has advised President Bola Tinubu to "start packing his luggages" as a new political alliance forms ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Eze, a former National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New Peoples Democratic Party (nPDP), congratulated former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Labour Party's Peter Obi, former Rivers State Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, and other prominent politicians for their decision to form a new political alliance.
New Political Alliance Takes Shape
BenriNews reported that Chief Akin Ricketts and Abdullahi Elayo, serving as Protem National Chairman and Secretary respectively, have applied to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to register the All Democratic Party (ADA) as a new political party.
The application follows a decision by the Nigerian National Coalition Group to sponsor the association for full registration as a political association, bringing together several high-profile politicians including former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, former Senate President David Mark, and Dr. Umar Ardo.
APC Chieftain's Scathing Criticism
In a statement released on Monday, Eze, who is a member of the APC Legacy Media Team, praised the coalition members for their "foresight, proactiveness, optimism, commitment and patriotism" in forming the new alliance.
"I commend all of you for your foresight, proactiveness, optimism, commitment and patriotism in a bid to wrestle power from the hands of despots, nepotists, selfish and anti-democratic forces, who have plunged our dear nation into a land of bloodletting, kidnapping, misery, abject poverty, devastating hunger and made Nigeria a laughing stock before the international community," Eze stated.
The APC chieftain did not mince words in his criticism of the current administration, describing the coalition members as "a group of cerebral, enigmatic, influential, visionary and grassroots politicians" who are concerned about the "present sordid state of our nation."
In a direct message to President Tinubu, Eze remarked: "Finally, President Tinubu can now start packing his luggages for his much-anticipated movement back to his Bourdillon Home after all the colossal damages he has committed against our democracy and economy due to his abysmal performance within 2 years of stolen mandate as a President."
The formation of this new alliance signals a significant realignment in Nigerian politics as key figures from different political backgrounds unite with the apparent goal of challenging the incumbent in the next general election.
