US President Donald Trump has suggested the possibility of regime change in Iran, following recent American military strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities.

In a post on his Truth Social platform on Sunday, Trump referenced the current leadership under Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei while introducing what appears to be a new slogan: "Make Iran Great Again" (MIGA).

"It's not politically correct to use the term 'regime change,' but if the current Iranian regime is unable to MAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN, why wouldn't there be a regime change??? MIGA!!!" Trump wrote.

Recent Military Actions Against Iran

The comments follow significant military action by the Trump administration, which recently attacked three Iranian nuclear facilities: Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan. Trump characterized these strikes as having "obliterated" the targets, while Pentagon officials described the resulting damage as "extremely severe."

Iranian authorities have downplayed the impact of these attacks but have vowed to retaliate. In response, Trump has warned of a "full-blown" response should Iran take retaliatory action.

International Reactions

The escalating tensions have prompted responses from various international figures. Pope Leo has called for peace, stating that "war doesn't solve problems" amid what he described as "alarming" escalation in the Middle East.

Meanwhile, France, Germany, and the UK have urged Iran to resume nuclear talks following the US strikes, while Qatar has called for de-escalation and a return to diplomacy.

On the domestic front, Senator Tim Kaine has criticized Trump for allegedly failing to notify Congress ahead of the strikes on Iran, raising questions about adherence to constitutional war powers.

Iranian President Pezeshkian has insisted that the US "must receive a response" to the nuclear strikes, suggesting that tensions may continue to escalate in the coming days.
