President Bola Tinubu has concluded his two-week Eid al-Adha break in Lagos and returned to Abuja to resume his official duties at the Presidential Villa.
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, alongside other government officials, accompanied the President to the Murtala Mohammed International Airport for his departure on Monday.
Presidential Activities During the Break
During his stay in Lagos, President Tinubu reportedly maintained an active schedule, receiving numerous high-profile visitors at his residence and commissioning several projects across the state.
Notable among his visitors were former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose and Segun Sowunmi, a prominent Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain who previously served as spokesperson for Atiku Abubakar's 2023 presidential campaign.
The President's return to Abuja comes as the nation prepares to mark Democracy Day on June 12, with several events scheduled at the Federal Capital Territory.
In a related development, President Tinubu is expected to commission the newly renovated International Conference Centre in Abuja as part of his immediate engagements upon return to the capital city.
