Pro-APC advocate Okezie Atani announced the passing via his X page, noting that the political figure is survived by his wife and children. "We lost Barr. Jesutega Onokpasa, may his soul rest in perfect peace," Atani wrote.

Onokpasa served as a member of the APC's Presidential Campaign Council during the 2023 general elections, where he made significant contributions to the party's Publicity Committee. He gained recognition for his insightful political analysis and unwavering support for President Tinubu during television appearances.
