The community of Mokwa in Niger State has been thrown into mourning following the tragic death of a respected teacher, Mallam Mohammed Abubakar Tayi, who was stabbed to death on Saturday morning along Abattoir Road.

Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani, announced the killing in a post on his verified Facebook page, expressing grief over the sudden and violent passing of the beloved educator.

According to Sani's tribute, Mallam Tayi was widely known for his humility, kindness, and jovial nature. His strong sense of discipline earned him respect among colleagues, students, and residents alike in the Mokwa community.

"Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi raji'un," wrote Sani, using the Islamic phrase that expresses condolence and acknowledges that we all belong to Allah and to Him we shall return.

"Mallam Tayi was widely known for his humility, kindness, and jovial nature, coupled with a strong sense of discipline that earned him respect among colleagues, students, and residents alike. His sudden and violent passing has left many in shock and sorrow."

The former senator concluded his tribute with a prayer: "May the Almighty forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljannatul Firdaus."
