A former Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) gubernatorial candidate in the Osun 2022 governorship election, Engr Busuyi Ayowole, has issued a stern warning to President Bola Tinubu regarding the Adeleke family's political maneuvers.

Ayowole, who revealed he is considering legal action over alleged malicious news against his candidacy prior to the Osun 2022 governorship election, claimed the Adeleke family has been using musician Davido as an intermediary to establish connections with President Tinubu.

"I want to warn you about the Adeleke's. They've been sending their son, Davido, to meet you in different places in Abuja and probably in Lagos. They've made several attempts to make sure they are able to reach you and have a close-range conversation with you," Ayowole stated in a document obtained by BenriNews on Thursday.

The former gubernatorial candidate did not mince words in his assessment, adding, "I would like to advise you, President Tinubu, be careful around the Adeleke's because they're smarter than you."

Allegations of Political Strategy

Ayowole alleged that the Adeleke family has a history of betraying political allies, claiming that Dr. Deji Adeleke "knows more politics than you, and he's better than you in the art of betrayal."

He further suggested that the family's ultimate goal is to outsmart Tinubu, take control of Lagos State, and install their loyalist as governor.

"Everybody they've met on their way to the top, they've betrayed — starting recently from Omisore and Adagunodo, you can continue to count them — all the people who have been at the forefront, fighting for them to take over power in Osun State — they've put everybody aside because they want to create an empire. They believe they own Osun State," Ayowole claimed.

Call for Better Governance

Beyond his warnings about the Adeleke family, Ayowole urged President Tinubu to address the concerns of Nigerians, emphasizing that widespread suffering is creating an atmosphere of hunger and anger across the country.

"Nigerians are complaining. I will advise you, Mr. President, you need to do more. Nigerians are angry. Nigerians are hungry. A hungry man is an angry man," he stated.

"You're trying, but we want to see the results of your efforts in the daily life of ordinary Nigerians. It's not about trying. It's about achieving results; I won't say the results are being achieved at the moment. Mr. President, you need to do better," Ayowole added.

Concerns Over Party Defection

Ayowole also cautioned the Osun State All Progressives Congress (APC) against allowing Governor Ademola Adeleke to join their ranks, warning that such a move would effectively turn Osun into a one-party state.

"If the Adelekes are allowed to come into the APC, that means Osun State will become a one-party state—but we won't allow that to happen," he declared.

These comments follow the emergence of photographs showing Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, his elder brother Dr. Deji Adeleke, and musician Davido visiting President Tinubu at his Lagos residence on Tuesday evening.

The images sparked immediate controversy, with the Osun APC and former Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Timothy Owoeye, declaring that Adeleke is not welcome in their party and that the 2026 governorship ticket is not for sale to the Adeleke family.

In response, Governor Adeleke's spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, issued a statement affirming that the governor remains committed to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and has no intentions of defecting to any other political party.
