The Osun State Police Command has announced comprehensive security arrangements to ensure a peaceful Eid-el-Kabir celebration this year. In a statement released on Wednesday in Osogbo, Police Commissioner Mohammed Umar Abba advised residents to remain security conscious and conduct themselves in accordance with the law during the celebrations.
"Celebrate the upcoming Eid-El Kabir peacefully and avoid anything that will jeopardize the relative peace being enjoyed in the state as the Police will decisively deal with anyone found wanting in this regard," stated Abiodun Ojelabi, the Command Police Public Relations Officer.
CP Umar Abba extended warm wishes to all Muslim faithful and visitors to the state for a joyous and peaceful celebration. He also appealed to the public to report any suspicious movements and provide prompt information to the police in case of any infractions of the law.
