The Accountant General of the Federation (AGF), Shemseldeen Babatunde Ogunjimi, has assured the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) of timely release of their entitlements during a working visit to the FRSC headquarters in Abuja.

According to a statement released on Wednesday by Bawa Mokwa, Director of Press at the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF), Ogunjimi emphasized the longstanding cordial relationship between the Treasury and FRSC, pledging to strengthen this partnership further.

"Your officers and men are always on the road trying to keep the roads safe. For us at the Treasury, we will continue to support the FRSC. I want to assure you that every bit of your request and needs will be given prompt attention," Ogunjimi stated during the meeting.

In his response, FRSC Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed expressed appreciation for the AGF's visit and continued support. Mohammed highlighted that road safety has evolved into a global agenda, reaffirming the FRSC's unwavering commitment to ensuring safety on Nigerian roads.

The meeting underscores the federal government's recognition of the critical role played by FRSC personnel who work tirelessly across the nation's highways to maintain order and safety for all road users.

This development comes as the FRSC continues to expand its operations nationwide, with recent deployments of personnel for special operations during festive periods in various states across the country.
