The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kaduna State Command, has deployed 2,500 personnel across the state's 23 Local Government Areas ahead of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
Commandant Nuhu Dansadau issued the directive as part of comprehensive security measures to protect lives, property, and critical national assets and infrastructure during the festive period.
The deployment comes as the Federal Government declared Friday, June 6, and Monday, June 9, 2025, as public holidays to mark this year's Eid-ul-Adha celebration.
In a statement released by the Command's Public Relations Officer, SC Musa Labaran, Commandant Dansadau assured Kaduna residents of their safety during the festive period and encouraged them to go about their normal activities without fear.
"The Commandant has warned criminals in the state to turn to positive character and be good citizens, else they will face the consequences of their criminal actions," the statement read.
While extending his felicitations to Muslims during this festive period, the Commandant prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the leadership of NSCDC wisdom, knowledge, and understanding to continue to pilot the affairs of the corps effectively.
The security measure is part of NSCDC's ongoing efforts to maintain peace and order across Kaduna State, which has faced various security challenges in recent years.
Residents are encouraged to report any suspicious activities to the nearest NSCDC office or through the command's emergency contact channels during the celebration period.
