Levante and Elche have secured direct promotion to LaLiga for the 2025/26 season following the conclusion of the Segunda Division campaign on Sunday.

Elche clinched their return to Spain's top flight with an impressive 4-0 victory over Deportivo de La Coruna, cementing their position as runners-up in the league table. This achievement marks Elche's seventh promotion to LaLiga and their first since the 2022/23 campaign.

Under the leadership of head coach Eder Sarabia, Elche demonstrated exceptional resilience throughout the season, steadily climbing the table to secure the second automatic promotion spot behind champions Levante UD.

Playoff Battle for Final Promotion Spot

While Levante and Elche celebrate their automatic promotion, four teams will now compete for the final LaLiga spot through the playoffs. Real Oviedo, Mirandés, Almeria, and Racing will battle in the promotion playoffs, with only one team joining Levante and Elche in Spain's premier division next season.

Levante, who finished as champions of the Segunda Division, return to LaLiga after their relegation, capping off a successful campaign that saw them dominate Spain's second tier.

The promotion represents a significant achievement for both clubs, who will now begin preparations for competing against Spain's elite teams in the 2025/26 LaLiga season.
