Former Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Austin Jay-Jay Okocha has expressed delight over PSG's historic 5-0 triumph against Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League final held on Saturday night in Munich.

The French giants secured their first-ever Champions League trophy with an emphatic performance that saw Desire Doue score twice, while Achraf Hakimi, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Senny Mayulu each added a goal to complete the rout against the Serie A side.

Speaking to TNT Sports after the match, Okocha, who played for PSG from 1998 to 2002, admitted he had predicted a much closer contest but was thrilled with the outcome.

"The way PSG did it, you know, they made it look so easy," Okocha said. "They came with a good game plan and it worked out really well for them, and I think they totally deserve it."

The Nigerian football legend added, "I predicted 2–1, but who cares? I mean, I wanted to see them win and they won, which is great for the club— the first time in their history—and I think it is good for football as well."

The victory marks a significant milestone for Paris Saint-Germain, who have been pursuing Champions League glory for years, especially since their takeover by Qatar Sports Investments in 2011.

Luis Enrique's tactical approach proved masterful against Simone Inzaghi's Inter Milan, who had no answer to PSG's attacking prowess throughout the match.

However, the celebrations in Paris were marred by clashes between fans and police, with reports indicating hundreds of arrests following the historic victory.
