Former spokesman to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has publicly declared his "full, unequivocal, and unwavering support" for President Bola Tinubu following a meeting between the two.
Omokri made the declaration in a series of posts on his X (formerly Twitter) account, where he affirmed his loyalty to the President and his administration's Renewed Hope agenda.
"I met with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu today and reaffirmed my full, unequivocal, and unwavering support for his Renewed Hope agenda and the goal of making Nigeria a better place for all Nigerians under his Presidency," Omokri wrote.
The former presidential aide also expressed his desire for Tinubu to serve two full terms in office, stating: "By the grace of God, my prayer is for his Presidency to last for another six years and naturally end on May 29, 2031, after he must have served two terms in office, God sparing his life."
Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway Commissioning
Omokri revealed that he attended the commissioning of the 30th kilometer of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway alongside President Tinubu. The event also had in attendance National Security Adviser Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, whom Omokri described as "the most honest individual in Nigeria."
"Proud to have attended the commissioning of kilometre 30 of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway with President Tinubu, our beloved President and Omo Ologo," he stated.
In what appears to be a strong endorsement of the current administration, Omokri added: "Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has rekindled my hope for a greater future for Nigeria. With him as President until 2031, God sparing his life, a new Nigeria is not just possible (pun intended), it is BATifically realisable."
This public declaration of support comes at a time when the Tinubu administration continues to implement its Renewed Hope agenda amid various economic and security challenges facing the nation.
Omokri, who has been a vocal political commentator since leaving government, previously served as Special Assistant on New Media to former President Goodluck Jonathan.
