The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), through the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai, has delivered a significant blow against Boko Haram terrorists in Borno State, neutralizing scores of insurgents during precision airstrikes in Bita.

Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information at NAF Headquarters, confirmed the operation in an official statement, describing it as "one of the most decisive blows against the group in recent times."

According to the statement, the highly coordinated operation was executed under the cover of darkness, representing a major advancement in ongoing efforts to dismantle the operational capabilities of terrorist elements in Nigeria's North East region.

"Ground forces have since commenced clearance and exploitation operations to consolidate on the gains achieved from the successful airstrikes," the statement added.

Continued Commitment to National Security

The NAF has reassured Nigerians of its unwavering commitment to defending the nation's territorial integrity and protecting law-abiding citizens. The military emphasized that all necessary measures are being taken to ensure terrorist elements have no safe haven anywhere within the country.

This operation comes as part of the broader counterterrorism efforts in Nigeria's northeast, where security forces have intensified operations against insurgent groups that have plagued the region for over a decade.

The successful airstrikes in Bita demonstrate the military's continued resolve to combat terrorism and restore peace to affected communities in Borno State and the wider northeastern region.
