The Lagos State Government has officially commenced the 2025 entrance examination process for admission into its Model Colleges and Upgraded Junior Secondary Schools.

According to a statement released on Tuesday by Mr. Orunsolu Adebayo, Director of the Lagos State Examinations Board, the Computer-Based Test (CBT) for qualified candidates will be conducted from Wednesday, May 28 to Thursday, May 29, 2025, at five designated centers across the state.

Adebayo has advised all registered applicants to log into the board's portal at https://examsboard.lagosstate.gov.ng using their unique username and password to print their examination slips and verify their sitting arrangements before the test date.

"Candidates are expected to go to the examination venue with the exam slip (printout) and ensure that they arrive at the venue as early as possible," he stated.

The Director further clarified that only Primary Six pupils are eligible to participate in the examination, emphasizing that this screening process remains the sole pathway for admission into Lagos State's Model Colleges and Upgraded Junior Secondary Schools.

"The Candidates that pass and meet the required cut-off marks will be offered admission into any of the Model Colleges and Upgraded Junior Secondary Schools irrespective of his/her First or Second choice," Adebayo added.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to ensure their wards are adequately prepared for the examination, which serves as a critical step in accessing quality education offered by these specialized institutions in Lagos State.
