Popular Nigerian TikToker, Peller, has threatened legal action against Pastor Kesiena Esiri, the lead pastor of Remnant Christian Network, for allegedly tagging him as a bad influence and blaming him for mass failures in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

The controversy erupted after Pastor Esiri, in a viral video circulating on social media, accused Peller and his girlfriend, Jarvis, of promoting immorality and distracting Nigerian teenagers with what he described as "negative content" on the internet.

"It's what we are pioneering in public now like a normal lifestyle. Did you know the person mentoring the young people now? It's one guy that calls himself Peller," Pastor Esiri stated in the video.

The cleric further claimed, "Young people now. He is on his page, they sit down from morning till night. He is going about with a girl that he's not married to, engaging in all kinds of nonsense things. And to society teens, it's normal behavior. Can they pass JAMB? They can't pass JAMB."

In response to these allegations, Peller vehemently denied being responsible for academic failures among Nigerian students. During a TikTok live session, the 20-year-old social media influencer announced his intention to sue Pastor Esiri, claiming the cleric was using his name to extort church members.

"One pastor go to church and be preaching about Peller and Jarvis in church. He said it's Peller and Jarvis that makes his children fail JAMB," Peller said during the live session.

"Nobody forced anyone to watch Jarvis and Peller. You see that pastor, we will sue you. Mr. Prophet we will sue you for using our names to collect offerings in your church. Because all the Gen Zs will love the pastor's that very day and they will give more offerings than. They would be delighted that the pastor is Peller's follower too," he added.

This incident highlights the ongoing debate about the influence of social media content creators on Nigerian youth and their academic performance, particularly as concerns grow over mass failures in national examinations.

Neither Pastor Esiri nor his church has responded to Peller's threat of legal action at the time of this report.
