The Taraba State Bureau for Peace and Conflict Management (TSBPCM) has strongly condemned the recent violent attacks in Karim Lamido local government council, describing the incidents as "horrendous" and deeply tragic.

In a statement signed by Bishop Innocent R. Solomon, Chairman of the Bureau, the organization expressed profound shock over the loss of innocent lives in the attacks that occurred early Saturday morning.

The violence has reportedly claimed dozens of lives, left many injured, and others missing, according to official reports. The Bandawa community and the Bikwin Chiefdom were particularly affected by the brutal attacks.

"We mourn with the families and communities that have suffered and stand in solidarity with them during this painful period," the statement read.

The Bureau extended heartfelt condolences to the affected communities, as well as to Taraba State Governor Dr. Agbu Kefas and the entire people of the state.

Security agencies received commendation from the Bureau for their continued efforts to restore order in the affected areas. The organization reiterated its confidence in their commitment to safeguarding lives and property across the state.

The Peace Bureau also pledged full support for measures being implemented by Governor Kefas to promote peace, unity, and security throughout Taraba State.

Calling for calm and resilience, the Bureau urged residents of Karim Lamido and surrounding areas to remain united and prayerful as efforts to restore lasting peace continue.

Reports indicate that a mass burial has been organized for victims of the attack, though Governor Kefas was reportedly absent from the ceremony.

This incident follows other recent attacks in Taraba communities, including violence in Munga Lalau and Munga Doso, which have sparked criticism over the government's response to security challenges in the region.
