Nigerian singer and music executive, D'Prince, has publicly announced his transition to a vegetarian lifestyle, citing health benefits and future considerations as his primary motivations.
The Jonzing World record label founder made this revelation via his X (formerly Twitter) handle on Friday, where he encouraged his followers to consider similar lifestyle changes for their wellbeing.
"Save yourself. Heal your body. Unlock your potential. The revolution needs you 100%. I'm going vegan for my health, my mind and the future," D'Prince wrote.
The singer's announcement adds him to a growing list of international music stars who have embraced plant-based diets. Notable vegan celebrities include power couple Beyoncé and Jay-Z, A$AP Rocky (Rihanna's partner), Billie Eilish, Lizzo, Ariana Grande, Stevie Wonder, and Sia.
While D'Prince specifically mentioned going "vegan" in his post, which typically excludes all animal products, the context suggests he may be adopting a vegetarian diet that eliminates meat but might still include some animal-derived products.
This lifestyle change comes at a time when plant-based diets are gaining popularity globally, with proponents citing benefits ranging from improved physical health to reduced environmental impact.
D'Prince, born Charles Enebeli, is the younger brother of music mogul Don Jazzy and has been a significant figure in the Nigerian music industry both as an artist and as the founder of Jonzing World, which has signed successful acts including Ruger and Rema.
