Activist politician Omoyele Sowore has made a startling claim that the results of Nigeria's 2027 presidential election have already been predetermined by those in authority.
In a recent interview with Vanguard, Sowore emphatically declared that the "2027 results are already written," suggesting that the electoral outcome has been decided well ahead of the actual polls.
Despite his skepticism about the electoral process, Sowore confirmed his intention to participate in the presidential race. "I never stopped running," he stated, adding, "whether it's a campaign, a protest, a court battle—I'm always running for something."
The activist expressed his lack of faith in the current electoral system, asserting that "only rebellion against the system can change the country and not the ballot."
Criticism of Current Administration
Sowore did not mince words when discussing President Bola Tinubu's administration, claiming that "Nigerians made a grave mistake voting Bola Tinubu into office."
In a scathing assessment, he predicted: "When Tinubu is done with this country, Nigerians will be begging to return to Buhari's era."
According to Sowore, the current administration has inflicted "irreparable damage—economically, socially, politically" on the nation. He further alleged that President Tinubu has "crippled institutions, education, and democracy."
Drawing a stark comparison between the current and previous administrations, Sowore remarked, "Buhari killed Nigeria in eight years; Tinubu came, in two years he is burying it."
The activist's comments come amid growing concerns about Nigeria's political landscape and the integrity of its electoral processes as the nation looks toward the 2027 general elections.
