Paris Saint-Germain forward Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has singled out Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold as the toughest opponent he has faced in his professional career.

The Georgian international made this revelation during an interview with former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand, where he praised Alexander-Arnold's exceptional abilities on the pitch.

"Toughest opponent? Trent Alexander-Arnold," Kvaratskhelia told Ferdinand. "Yeah, he is very good. I cannot say many, but I will say Trent from my time in PSG."

The two players faced each other during this season's UEFA Champions League knockout stages, where PSG eventually eliminated Liverpool from the competition.

Alexander-Arnold, who has been a key figure for Liverpool over the years, is set to leave the Premier League champions at the end of the current season when his contract expires. The England international has already secured his next move, agreeing to join Spanish giants Real Madrid on a free transfer.

The 25-year-old right-back has established himself as one of the world's best in his position, known for his exceptional passing range and crossing ability. His defensive capabilities, which Kvaratskhelia found challenging to overcome, have also improved significantly in recent seasons.

Meanwhile, PSG has advanced to the Champions League final where they will face Inter Milan, as they continue their pursuit of European glory this season.
