The Forum of Stakeholders of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has officially endorsed President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections, while also extending support to Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Alhaji Saleh Zazzaga, North-Central Chairman of the Forum, announced these endorsements while addressing journalists in Jos on Friday. According to Zazzaga, the decision was reached during an expanded meeting with forum stakeholders held Thursday night.

"We have decided to adopt the green cap movement in Plateau because we believe that the time is now. Though Mutfwang is of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), we believe that he is doing well and we must support him to excel," Zazzaga stated.

On President Tinubu's endorsement, Zazzaga explained: "We are also endorsing our president, Bola Tinubu, for 2027 because he is doing extremely well. We want Tinubu to continue with the reforms his administration is doing in order to reboot our economy and place it on the path of steady growth."

The chairman emphasized that the majority of Nigerians are proud of the progress made by the Tinubu-led administration over the past two years. He added that their endorsement would enable the President to consolidate on achievements already recorded.

"Our endorsement is rooted in a comprehensive assessment of Tinubu's transformative leadership. His unwavering commitment to national development and the tangible achievements recorded under his administration since he came to office in 2023 speak volume," Zazzaga remarked.

He further revealed that "the entire structure of our party in the north-central region met on Wednesday and endorsed President Bola Tinubu as our candidate in 2027."

The Forum has called on Plateau residents to vote for Governor Mutfwang in 2027, while urging citizens from North-Central states to support President Tinubu's re-election bid.

This endorsement comes after all 22 governors elected on the APC platform had previously declared their support for Tinubu's 2027 re-election campaign.
