Senator Muhammad Adamu Aliero has publicly reaffirmed his unwavering loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC), President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and Kebbi State Governor Dr. Nasir Idris, dismissing recent allegations suggesting otherwise.
In a statement released by his media office in Birnin Kebbi on Monday, Aliero responded to claims attributed to one Tijani that allegedly questioned the senator's support for certain party figures.
"I stand firmly with the APC and our esteemed leaders, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Nasir Idris," Aliero declared. "Their visionary leadership and dedication to progress have uplifted Kebbi State and set a benchmark for governance in Nigeria."
The senator was among three sitting lawmakers from Kebbi who recently defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC. The other defectors include Senator Yahaya Abdullahi representing Kebbi North and Senator Garba Maidoki of Kebbi South.
These high-profile defections have triggered significant political realignments across Kebbi State and are widely interpreted as strategic positioning ahead of the 2027 general elections. Political analysts view the moves as an effort to consolidate APC's dominance in the state's political landscape.
In his statement, Aliero attributed Kebbi's development strides to the collective efforts of the party's leadership and called for continued unity among members and supporters.
"The progress we are seeing is due to the hard work and commitment of our leaders. I urge all stakeholders to remain focused and work together for the good of our state," the senator emphasized.
The senator's public declaration comes at a time of increasing political activities across Nigeria as various political figures begin positioning themselves for the 2027 electoral cycle. His reaffirmation of loyalty to the APC leadership structure appears aimed at dispelling rumors and consolidating his position within the party's hierarchy in Kebbi State.
