Fenerbahce manager Jose Mourinho has launched a scathing attack on Galatasaray, accusing the Turkish champions of lacking "human condition" after they allowed their goalkeeper Fernando Muslera to take a penalty in the closing stages of their title-clinching match.

The incident occurred during Galatasaray's final league game of the season when they were already leading 2-0 and had secured the Super Lig title before the final round of fixtures. In the 89th minute, when awarded a penalty, the team decided to let their long-serving goalkeeper Muslera step up to take the spot-kick.

Muslera's effort from 12 yards managed to squeeze into the net, marking only his second goal in 14 years with the club. While the goal triggered jubilant celebrations from his teammates and fans, Mourinho was visibly unimpressed by the gesture.

Speaking to reporters after the match, the Portuguese tactician did not hold back in his criticism: "The way you celebrate championships shows your human condition. Today's championship celebrations were like a summary of the stories during the season."

He added pointedly, "When it was 2-0, they made the goalkeeper kick a penalty, which was a great image to show how humane they are."

The comments come amid what has been a tense season in Turkish football, with Mourinho's Fenerbahce finishing behind their bitter rivals Galatasaray in the championship race. The rivalry between the two Istanbul giants is one of the most fierce in world football, and Mourinho's remarks will likely add fuel to an already heated relationship.

This incident marks another chapter in Mourinho's storied career of controversial statements and feuds with opposing teams. Since taking over at Fenerbahce, the former Chelsea, Real Madrid, and Manchester United manager has not shied away from expressing his opinions about Turkish football.

Galatasaray's title victory comes in a season that has also seen Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen make significant contributions to the team while on loan, with reports suggesting the club is intensifying efforts to sign him permanently.
