Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has achieved an unprecedented milestone by becoming the first African artist to surpass an estimated 20 billion global audio on-demand streams.

According to international music monitoring platform Chart Masters, the Nigerian superstar recently reached this remarkable feat as the combined tally of both his lead and feature songs hit the 20 billion mark.

Wizkid's most streamed song remains Canadian superstar Drake's 'One Dance,' which featured him and Kyla. The track has amassed over 3.628 billion streams on Spotify alone and holds a Guinness World Record as the first song to reach 1 billion streams on the platform.

This achievement adds to Wizkid's growing list of accolades. He is also the first African artist to receive the prestigious Brit Billion Award for surpassing one billion audio on-demand streams in the United Kingdom.

The 'Essence' hitmaker continues to dominate the global music scene as the best-selling Afrobeats artist with over 65 million units sold worldwide, further cementing Nigeria's position at the forefront of the global music industry.
