Sokoto United Football Club has announced significant changes to its technical structure with the appointment of four new members to strengthen the team's coaching staff.

The Nigeria National League (NNL) outfit confirmed the appointments through an official letter issued by Hajia Hadiza Galadima, the Permanent Secretary of the Sokoto State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development.

The new appointees include Bashar Attahiru Black, who will serve as the team coordinator, while Abdullahi A. Shehu has been named as the technical director. Additionally, Haliru Sambo and Kabiru Abdullahi will take up roles as assistant coach and goalkeeper trainer respectively.

According to the club's statement, all four appointees are expected to resume their duties with immediate effect as the team enters a crucial phase of the season.

Sokoto United is currently making a strong push for qualification to the NNL Super Six playoff. The team occupies fourth position in Group C of the league table with 16 points from 11 matches played so far.

In their final fixture of the regular season, Sokoto United will face Jigawa Golden Stars in what could be a decisive match for their playoff aspirations.

The technical reinforcement comes at a critical time as the club aims to secure promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) through a strong showing in the remainder of the season.
