President Bola Tinubu has extended warm birthday greetings to Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, who celebrated his birthday on Thursday, May 15, 2025.

In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu praised Governor Alia for his deep sense of compassion and commitment to public service, attributes he noted were rooted in the governor's background as a priest.

The President commended Alia for successfully translating his spiritual values of integrity and selflessness into impactful governance, highlighting the governor's dedicated efforts toward ensuring peace, security, and stability in Benue State.

"Governor Alia has shown steadfast dedication to the well-being of the people of Benue. His leadership reflects courage, clarity, and an unwavering commitment to good governance," the statement read.

President Tinubu further emphasized that his administration would continue to support Governor Alia's efforts, noting that the governor's ideals align with the goals of the Renewed Hope Agenda, which focuses on national security, improving living standards, and fostering unity across Nigeria.

The President encouraged Governor Alia to continue guiding Benue on a path of "healing, progress, and purposeful governance" while offering prayers for the governor's continued success.

"On this special day, I pray for God's continued blessings upon you—granting you wisdom, strength, and good health as you steer Benue toward greater heights," President Tinubu said. "Happy Birthday, Governor Alia."

Since taking office, Governor Alia, who transitioned from priesthood to politics, has been working to address various developmental challenges in Benue State, with a particular focus on security issues that have affected the state in recent years.
