The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has initiated a comprehensive review of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results following an unprecedented surge in complaints from candidates across Nigeria.

JAMB spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, confirmed this development in an official statement released on Monday, acknowledging that the Board had received an unusually high volume of complaints regarding discrepancies in candidates' scores after reports of poor performances in the recently concluded examination.

To address these concerns systematically, JAMB has established an official complaint procedure for affected candidates. The Board has advised candidates to follow these steps to register their complaints:

1. Visit the JAMB Support Portal at https://www.jamb.gov.ng/support

2. Click on "Create Support Ticket"

3. Specify whether you are a JAMB candidate or submitting a complaint on behalf of someone else

4. Complete the form and submit it, ensuring to use a valid email address and noting your Transaction ID

5. Wait for notification via email once your complaint receives a response

6. Track responses on the JAMB support platform

The Board has emphasized that candidates need not physically visit JAMB Headquarters or state offices to lodge complaints, as all issues can be conveniently addressed through the online platform.

This development comes amid growing concerns about the 2025 UTME results, with many stakeholders calling for transparency in the examination process. The examination body has not yet provided details on the timeline for the review process or when affected candidates might expect resolution.

JAMB's decision to review the results demonstrates its responsiveness to public concerns, though it remains to be seen what specific actions will be taken to address the alleged discrepancies in the examination scores.
