Amstel Malta made a spectacular statement as the headline sponsor of the 11th Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards (AMVCA), transforming the prestigious event into a vibrant celebration of African creativity and talent.

The premium malt brand unveiled its sleek new can design during the four-day celebration, perfectly complementing an event dedicated to excellence in African film and television. The festivities began with Icons Night, honoring legends who pioneered African cinema, setting a reflective tone for the celebrations that followed.

A highlight of the event was Young Filmmakers' Day, organized in partnership with MultiChoice Talent Factory. The program, themed "Sound in Filmmaking," featured renowned sound engineer and filmmaker Shawn Butler sharing expertise with emerging talents. The Amstel Malta Monologue Challenge provided a platform for young creatives to showcase original performances, with Anderson Eboreime claiming the ₦250,000 prize.

Fashion took center stage with the Amstel Malta Sleek MVPs challenge, where the brand collaborated with celebrated photographer Kelechi Amadi-Obi to capture the most stylish attendees. Akin Faminu and Liquorose were crowned Sleek MVPs, each receiving a ₦1 million reward for their outstanding fashion statements.

The Amstel Malta Style Corner, hosted by media personality Hawa Magaji, became a hub for fashion discussions and red carpet moments throughout the event.

In a significant moment, Amstel Malta presented the Best Overall Movie award to "Freedom Way" by Blessing Uzzi, celebrating authentic African storytelling—a cause the brand has championed throughout its 11-year partnership with AMVCA.

Francis Obiajulu, Senior Brand Manager at Nigerian Breweries, emphasized the significance of this collaboration: "AMVCA 11 was a reflection of how far our industry has come and the incredible possibilities ahead. At Amstel Malta, we believe that creativity is not just to be consumed; it is to be nurtured, championed, and projected onto the global stage."

He added, "This platform allowed us to honour legacy, spotlight originality, and inspire a new wave of storytellers who are unapologetically African, and globally relevant. Our continued presence at the AMVCAs is a clear statement of intent, we are ready to invest in the growth, visibility, and more of African talent."

Through its comprehensive involvement—from industry conversations to fashion moments and celebrating outstanding achievements—Amstel Malta demonstrated its commitment to shaping the future of entertainment on the continent, promising continued support for African creative talents.
