American singer and actress Halle Bailey has been granted a domestic violence restraining order against her ex-boyfriend, rapper Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., professionally known as DDG, amid disturbing allegations of physical abuse.
According to court documents filed in Los Angeles on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, a judge ordered DDG to remain 100 yards away from Bailey and prohibited him from discussing her or their 18-month-old son, Halo, publicly.
The court also granted "The Little Mermaid" actress permission to travel with their son to Italy, where she will be filming for two months.
Bailey's court filing detailed a January incident that allegedly turned violent when DDG came to pick up their son. The actress claimed that when she attempted to discuss a visitation schedule with him, the situation escalated dramatically.
According to TMZ reports, Bailey stated that while she was buckling their son into a car seat, DDG became aggressive, shouting, "Get out of my car, BITCH," which caused the baby to cry.
To support her allegations, Bailey presented evidence to the court including video footage showing DDG damaging her ring camera and throwing her phone. She also submitted photographs documenting a bruised arm and a chipped tooth allegedly resulting from the confrontation.
The former couple, who ended their relationship in October 2024, had been co-parenting their son until these recent allegations came to light.
Representatives for DDG have not yet publicly responded to the allegations or the court's decision to grant the restraining order.
