Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has opened up about his profound appreciation for black women, describing them as "an extension of me."
The 'African Giant' crooner made this revelation during a recent conversation with Cocoa Butter in Atlanta, Georgia, when asked about his favourite thing about black women.
"First of all, it's the fact that they are an extension of me. I must always love myself, so I must love my black women," Burna Boy stated.
This sentiment aligns with the artist's previous works, as he has dedicated several songs to celebrating black women, including hits like 'Onyeka', 'Omo', and 'On The Low'.
Burna Boy continues to make waves in the international music scene. The Nigerian superstar was recently nominated for the 2025 BET Awards alongside other Nigerian talents including Rema and Ayra Starr.
He is also set to join global music icons Ed Sheeran and Doja Cat in the lineup for F1 The Album, further cementing his status as one of Africa's most successful musical exports.
The artist has previously spoken about challenges he faced in the Nigerian music industry, claiming that "gatekeepers did everything possible to break me" before his rise to international fame.
