The All Progressives Congress (APC) reconciliation committee in Adamawa State, chaired by Senator Mohammed Mana, has formally submitted its unity report, signaling a major step toward resolving internal party conflicts ahead of the 2027 general elections.

According to a statement issued in Kaduna on Friday, the committee's efforts form part of a broader peace initiative supported by National Security Adviser (NSA) Mallam Nuhu Ribadu and the party's North East Zonal Vice Chairman, Mustapha Salihu, both of whom have been widely credited for the success of the dialogue process.

The reconciliation committee was established following consultations with key political stakeholders in Adamawa, with the primary task of resolving internal conflicts that have affected party unity in the state.

Mustapha Salihu, who played a pivotal role in facilitating the committee's work by providing organizational guidance and political leadership, described the outcome as a turning point for the APC in Adamawa State.

"This report is the result of honest engagement and shared purpose. I commend everyone who contributed, especially our National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, for his steadfast support," Salihu stated.

He emphasized that the reconciliation effort goes beyond merely ending disputes, focusing instead on rebuilding trust and establishing a solid foundation for the party's future electoral success.

The Adamawa APC Unity Forum, led by Abubakar Hamma, has praised both Ribadu and Salihu for their leadership, describing their involvement as critical to the committee's credibility and success.

Similarly, the Coalition of APC Youths Forum in Adamawa, under the leadership of Khalil Sajo, expressed optimism about the party's future, stating that the APC is now more united and strategically positioned for electoral victory in 2027.

"The reconciliation gives us a strong foundation. We can now focus on winning future elections in the state rather than internal battles," the youth forum noted.

This development comes as the APC in Adamawa seeks to strengthen its position after previous electoral challenges, with party leaders now focusing on building a united front ahead of the 2027 general elections.
