Self-styled activist Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has revealed that he advised singer Naira Marley to pursue a cyberbullying case against actress Iyabo Ojo for allegedly damaging his reputation during the controversy surrounding late singer Mohbad's death.
According to VeryDarkMan, Naira Marley initially declined to take legal action, preferring to leave the matter to divine judgment despite the alleged damage to his music career and public image.
Speaking in a recent video shared on his TikTok page, VeryDarkMan expressed his frustration with Naira Marley's decision to forgive Iyabo Ojo after she reportedly apologized during a meeting at the Lagos State Commissioner of Police office.
"I told Naira Marley to detain Iyabo Ojo but he said Allah will judge. I told him to lose his cool the moment we enter the Police Commissioner's office and say Iyabo Ojo's defamatory remarks have ruined his career and tarnished his image. He said okay, but when he got there and Iyabo apologized in Yoruba, Naira Marley immediately forgave her. I almost died where I was sitting. I was so upset and disappointed," VeryDarkMan recounted.
He further claimed that Sam Larry, an associate of Naira Marley, protested against accepting the apology and even shed tears during the meeting. "When Samlarry saw that Naira Marley has accepted Iyabo Ojo's apology, he protested against it. I was signalling Naira Marley not to accept the apology because I know Iyabo Ojo won't keep to her end of the agreement. Samlarry shed tears," he added.
This revelation comes four months after a court acquitted Naira Marley and Sam Larry of any complicity in Mohbad's death, which had been a subject of intense public scrutiny and social media debates.
The ongoing controversy has involved several Nigerian celebrities, with recent reports indicating that Davido unfollowed Iyabo Ojo on social media after VeryDarkMan allegedly leaked group chats related to the case.
Neither Iyabo Ojo nor Naira Marley has publicly responded to VeryDarkMan's latest claims at the time of this report.
