Justine Madugu's side secured Nigeria's 10th WAFCON title on Saturday after a hard-fought 3-2 victory over the Atlas Lionesses of Morocco in the final match of the tournament.
According to the schedule released, the players and their officials are expected to arrive at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Abuja, by noon on Monday. The team will later be hosted at the Presidential Villa in Aso Rock by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The victory celebration will feature an open-roof bus parade along major districts in Abuja, with the iconic trophy on display for fans and onlookers. The Super Falcons' route will include Airport Road, Berger Junction, Maitama, and Wuse Market, before culminating at the Presidential Villa.
Football enthusiasts and supporters are expected to turn out in large numbers to welcome the team and celebrate this historic achievement. Top government officials and key stakeholders in the sports sector are also anticipated to participate in the reception ceremony.
This victory marks another milestone in Nigerian women's football history, reinforcing the Super Falcons' dominance in African women's football with their record-extending 10th continental title.
Following the tournament, star player Esther Okoronkwo revealed factors that contributed to their success against Morocco, while team captain Asisat Oshoala addressed speculation about her potential retirement after securing another continental trophy.
The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) has also applauded the Super Falcons for their outstanding performance throughout the tournament.
