At the time of his arrest, El-Hussain was found in possession of a long sharp knife and suspected cannabis. The police spokesman revealed that the suspect had been evading arrest after recently robbing a salesgirl at Ogbomoso Road, Minna, where he stole motorcycle spare parts.
"He usually threatened unsuspecting members of the public, robbing and snatching phones, as well as engaged in street fighting terrorising Ogbomoso Street, Ungwar-Sarki, and Paida areas of Minna," SP Abiodun explained.
During interrogation, El-Hussain identified other members of his gang, leading to the arrest of nine additional suspects on July 12, 2025, at around 3 am. These suspects were caught with dangerous weapons at Ungwar Sarki and Ogbomoso Street areas of Minna.
