Noor Buhari, daughter of the late former Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari, has expressed profound grief over the passing of her father in an emotional tribute shared on social media.

The former president died on July 13, 2025, at the age of 82 in a London clinic, leaving behind a legacy as both a former military Head of State and a two-term civilian President.

In her heartfelt message posted on Instagram, Noor wrote: "Daddy, I'm heartbroken that we won't get to share the moments and experiences I had planned for us." She also offered prayers for her father's soul, saying, "I pray that you're granted the highest place in Jannah, and your soul rests in eternal peace."

The remains of the former president were laid to rest on Tuesday, July 15, in his hometown of Daura, Katsina State, following Islamic burial rites. Reports indicate that he was buried at what was described as his favorite sitting spot within his compound.

The funeral ceremony attracted numerous dignitaries, including President Bola Tinubu and other top government officials who gathered at the prayer ground in Daura to pay their last respects.

Buhari's body had been transported from Katsina to Daura for the final interment, with family members and prominent figures in attendance at the graveside.
