Mr. Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, father of late Nigerian singer Mohbad, has shared disturbing details about the events leading to his son's death during a revealing interview with social media activist VeryDarkMan.
In the interview, Aloba recounted receiving a call from Mohbad's mother around 4:30 pm on September 12, informing him that their son was sick and hospitalized. He immediately made arrangements to visit his son.
"On the 12th of September, Iya Mohbad called me around 4:30 pm to tell me that my son is not well and is being hospitalized, so I told her I am at a bus stop she should come and meet me so we can go and meet my son where he is," Aloba explained.
However, upon arriving at the hospital in Osapa London, Aloba said he encountered a suspicious change in narrative. Mohbad's uncle, Darosha, allegedly told him that the singer was improving and advised him to return home around 7:00 pm.
"I was already sensing my son was dead, because of how they kept calling me that my son is not well and all of a sudden they said he was fine that I can go back," he stated, describing his growing unease about the situation.
Despite his suspicions, Aloba decided to accompany them to the house. Upon arrival, he found the entrance blocked and was initially prevented from entering. When he finally made his way upstairs to where he and Mohbad usually met, he made a shocking discovery.
"So when I went upstairs because that is where I and Mohbad usually met, I noticed that the duvet was soaked in blood," Aloba revealed, suggesting foul play in his son's death.
The grieving father further alleged that after giving his statement at the police station, he was denied access to the police report because he had not reported his son's death immediately. He claimed that Wunmi, Mohbad's wife, possessed the doctor's report but remained silent about it.
In one of the most disturbing claims, Aloba alleged that his son's body was embalmed at home without his consent, and the morgue refused to accept the body that night—raising further questions about the circumstances surrounding the young artist's death.
The interview with VeryDarkMan has reignited public interest in the controversial circumstances surrounding Mohbad's death, with many fans demanding a thorough investigation into the matter.
This revelation comes amid ongoing legal battles, including a recent court decision that threw out a suit filed by Mohbad's father against Naira Marley and Sam Larry.
