Operatives of the CP-Special Assignment Team (CP-SAT) have successfully recovered a Lexus 330 Jeep that was allegedly stolen during an armed robbery operation along UTI Road, off DSC Expressway, Ebrumede, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State.
Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, confirmed the recovery in an official statement released on July 3, 2025. According to the statement, the vehicle was recovered on June 30, 2025, following swift police action after the incident was reported.
"Sequel to the complaint received, it was gathered that the suspects, armed with dangerous weapons, invaded a residence in the early hours of the day, carting away expensive jewelry, mobile phones, and a Lexus 330 Jeep with registration number: RBC 656 CN," SP Edafe explained.
Swift Police Response Leads to Recovery
The police spokesperson further detailed that following swift investigation and deployment of intelligence assets, the stolen vehicle was recovered around 6:35 am at UTI Road, off DSC Expressway, Ebrumede, the same area where the crime occurred.
This recovery represents a significant breakthrough in the case, though the suspects remain at large. "Efforts are ongoing to apprehend the fleeing members of the gang," SP Edafe assured the public.
The incident highlights the continuing challenge of armed robbery in the region, with criminals targeting homes for valuable items including vehicles. The swift recovery of the stolen Lexus demonstrates the effectiveness of the CP-Special Assignment Team's response capabilities.
