Fani-Kayode Celebrates Iran's Stance Against Israel
Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has publicly praised Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran, for his refusal to yield to pressure from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and U.S. President Donald Trump during the recent conflict between Israel and Iran.
The comments came in response to the ceasefire agreement announced by President Trump on Monday, which followed Iran's retaliatory missile strikes on a U.S. base in Qatar and Israel's subsequent counteroffensive targeting Iranian military and nuclear facilities.
In a statement shared on social media platform X on Tuesday, Fani-Kayode congratulated Iran for what he described as "standing up to the Zionist bullies" and "bringing them to their knees."
"In its entire 77-year history, the Zionist state has never suffered such shock, panic, trepidation, terror, infrastructural damage, and shame, and their cities have never been so savagely attacked and destroyed," Fani-Kayode stated.
Ceasefire Amid Ongoing Tensions
Despite the announced ceasefire, tensions remain high in the region. BenriNews reports that a late missile strike on Beersheba killed at least four people, raising questions about the timing of the attack relative to the implementation of the ceasefire agreement.
Fani-Kayode expressed gratitude for the ceasefire, noting that it would save lives. He also commended what he called the "restraint" of Iran's armed forces, claiming they "refused to commit atrocities" or target civilians during their military operations.
"Never will they launch an unprovoked attack on Iran again," the former minister asserted, referring to Israel.
Praise for Iranian Leadership
In his statement, Fani-Kayode specifically lauded Ayatollah Khamenei's leadership during the conflict, describing his "remarkable strength, faith, and fortitude" that "inspired millions of people in Iran and indeed from all over the world."
"He refused to bow to Bibi Netanyahu or Trump, and his faith in God shielded him from death, harm, and defeat," Fani-Kayode concluded.
The ceasefire comes after weeks of escalating tensions between Israel and Iran, with both sides engaging in direct military confrontations that threatened to expand into a wider regional conflict.
