Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has paid a heartfelt tribute to his wife, Hadiza Isma El-Rufai, on her birthday, stating that she gave his life meaning when they married nearly four decades ago.

In a touching birthday message shared on his Facebook page on Saturday, the Social Democratic Party (SDP) chieftain described Hadiza as "a bundle of brains, beauty and brawn" while reflecting on their journey together since their university days.

"My life began to have meaning when we married nearly 40 years ago," El-Rufai wrote, highlighting their relationship that began as university classmates and teenage sweethearts before culminating in marriage.

A Woman of Many Accomplishments

El-Rufai praised his wife's impressive academic achievements, noting that she holds three master's degrees in architecture, business administration, and creative writing. He also mentioned her fluency in French and her accomplishments as a published novelist.

"She is a taskmaster and disciplined organizer of our home and our lives," the former governor added, acknowledging her role in their family life.

The birthday celebration comes at a time when El-Rufai has been increasingly visible in national politics following his transition to the Social Democratic Party after leaving office as Kaduna State Governor.

His public display of affection for his wife offers a glimpse into the personal life of one of Nigeria's most prominent political figures, showing a softer side to the often tough-talking former governor.

"Happy birthday, Hadiza and God Bless you forever more," El-Rufai concluded in his tribute.
