Russia has issued a stern warning to the United States against taking military action against Iran, as speculation grows about whether Washington will join Israel in the ongoing Middle East conflict.
The warning from Russia's foreign ministry came after Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping condemned Israeli attacks on Iran during a phone call, urging for a diplomatic resolution to the escalating situation.

Russian foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova addressed the situation on Thursday, stating: "We would like to particularly warn Washington against military intervention in the situation. Following the call between Putin and Xi, Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov told reporters that both Moscow and Beijing believe the end to hostilities should be achieved "exclusively by political and diplomatic means."
Chinese state media reported that Xi emphasized a ceasefire as the top priority and urged Israel to halt its attacks.
The situation continues to develop as Israel has officially requested U.S. assistance in its war against Iran, while Russia has begun evacuating its citizens from Iran and suspended consular services amid the escalating conflict.
