Prophet Abel Boma, founder of ATB Foundation, has issued what he describes as a prophetic warning to critics of Judy Austin, the second wife of Nollywood actor Yul Edochie. In a video recently shared on Instagram, the Port Harcourt-based cleric claimed to have received a divine message concerning the ongoing public criticism of the actress.
According to Prophet Boma, God revealed to him that there is widespread hypocrisy surrounding the treatment of Judy Austin, urging people to focus on their own lives rather than judging others.
"The Lord is sending a strong message to Nigeria. He is saying to all of you judging a certain woman, Judy, as the second wife of Yul, the Lord is saying let her be," the prophet stated in his message.
Prophet's Message Sparks Controversy
The cleric further emphasized that God chooses who to bless and forgive regardless of human judgment, and accused many of Judy's critics of hypocrisy, suggesting they themselves have committed similar or worse moral transgressions.
"A lot of hypocrisy is happening around us. The Lord said face your own problems and let the woman have peace. I, the Lord, chooses who to bless and forgive. Your judgment against one person does not matter to me," he continued.
Prophet Boma particularly called out those who criticize Judy while allegedly engaging in extramarital affairs themselves. "Stop talking about people's marriages when you are scattering other people's own secretly, sleeping with married men. God said tell them do not judge anyone," he added.
Public Reaction to the Prophet's Claims
The message has not been well-received by supporters of May Edochie, Yul's first wife. Members of "May Nation," a group of fans loyal to May, flooded the comment section of the prophet's post, questioning the authenticity of his claims and accusing him of spreading falsehood.
Many commenters expressed skepticism about the divine nature of the message, with one user writing, "Na wa sha, una don dey too belittle God well well. So God get time for this? In the midst of all the sufferings and killings? Na Yul matter?"
Another commenter questioned, "Please sir can I ask you a question? So God supports two wives?" while others directly challenged the prophet's claim to be speaking on God's behalf: "Normalize telling people your personal opinion instead of lying on God."
The controversy surrounding Yul Edochie's second marriage to Judy Austin has been ongoing since the actor publicly acknowledged their relationship in 2022, causing significant public debate and family tension.
