Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has revealed that he charges a staggering ₦20 million for event appearances, explaining that the hefty fee comes with more than just his physical presence.
In an Instagram post shared on Monday, Edochie disclosed that his event appearances are accompanied by spiritual entities. "When I charge you 20 million naira to make an appearance at your event, I do not come alone," the actor wrote.
"I come with all my ancestors and ten thousand spirits from Nteje & Umudioka," he added, referencing communities in Anambra State with rich cultural heritage.
Recent Public Appearance
The actor made these remarks while sharing details about his attendance at a funeral ceremony. "On this day, Nsugbe was on fire. I stepped out to support my good friend, Barr. Tochukwu Nweke (SAN) Omelora as he laid his father to rest," Edochie stated.
He further described himself using traditional titles: "ISI MMILI JI OFOR 1 of Igbo Land. EZEDIKE 1 na Nteje Aborgu."
This revelation comes amid reports of Edochie's recent shift toward embracing traditional religious practices, after previously announcing the establishment of a ministry.
The actor has remained a controversial figure in the Nigerian entertainment industry, particularly following his decision to take a second wife, which generated significant public discourse.
