Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has opened up about her failed marriage to actor Adeniyi Johnson, revealing that her family had received divine warnings about the union which she chose to ignore.
In a recent interview with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Abraham disclosed that her family had sought spiritual guidance regarding her relationship with Johnson and expressed concerns about its potential failure, but she proceeded with the marriage despite their reservations.
The marriage, which lasted approximately two years, eventually ended in divorce, seemingly confirming her family's earlier concerns.
Finding Happiness in Current Marriage
In contrast to her previous relationship, Abraham spoke glowingly about her current marriage to fellow actor Kolawole Ajeyemi. She described their relationship as built on understanding, love, and mutual support.
"In real life he is very calm, he is a prayer warrior, whenever I go to Abeokuta he is always there. So we started getting close and then started dating," she revealed. "I did not want anybody to know at the time, but then I started getting fond of him. Whenever he wants to go to work, I will tag along."
Abraham further explained how their relationship progressed: "As time went on, I no longer cared what people had to say, so I took him to my parents, he took me to his, we had a little introduction and then I got pregnant and then marriage followed."
Unlike her previous marriage, Abraham emphasized that her family's prayers confirmed Ajeyemi was indeed her husband. "I come from a Christian home, so my family actually prayed about it and God revealed he was my husband. Now we have two kids, a boy and a girl," she said.
The actress expressed deep satisfaction with her current marriage, stating, "Trust me, I married one of the best. I will not say the best because there are other marriages I look up to like my godmother, but my husband is one of the best."
