British boxer Ryan Taylor has defiantly responded to criticism from Nigerians following controversial comments he made about his ex-partner, Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy.

The controversy erupted after Taylor shared a Father's Day post on Instagram on Sunday, featuring a photo with his daughter. In the post, he expressed his desire to end racism by having mixed-race children.

When a social media user commented on his child's resemblance to DJ Cuppy, Taylor responded with harsh words about the Nigerian disc jockey, saying: "She wasn't enough of a woman to even fathom creating such a beautiful creation like mine. Please leave me and don't come back."

Taylor Stands His Ground

Following significant backlash from Nigerians, Taylor doubled down on his position, claiming that Nigerians were targeting both him and his current partner.

"Today is a special day. Nigerians gotta chill out, you come for the mother of my child and think I won't back it? Don't come on my page talking shit and cry when I speak," Taylor wrote.

He further asserted his right to freedom of expression, stating: "I NEVER signed the Contract. I will always say what I want and do what is right for me or my family. I haven't said shit yet everyone gotta chill."

DJ Cuppy, daughter of Nigerian billionaire businessman Femi Otedola, has not publicly responded to Taylor's comments as of the time of this report.

The former couple's relationship has been the subject of public interest since they reportedly ended their engagement.
