The Ekiti State Police Command has arraigned a 33-year-old man, Fatai Yisa, before the Chief Magistrate Court in Ado-Ekiti on charges of theft after allegedly stealing 1,570 bags of pure water from his employer.
According to the prosecutor, Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi, Yisa, who worked as a sales assistant at a water factory, allegedly stole the sachets of water valued at N549,500 over a six-month period between January and June 10, 2025.
The prosecutor informed the court that the stolen items were the property of one Oluwa Tobi Opeyemi, Yisa's employer. The alleged offense contravenes Section 302 of the Criminal Law of Ekiti State, 2021.
