Former United States President Donald Trump has expressed frustration over not receiving credit for his diplomatic efforts amid the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran.

In a post on his Truth Social account on Sunday, Trump claimed he has been instrumental in resolving multiple international conflicts while expressing optimism about peace prospects between Israel and Iran.

"Iran and Israel should make a deal, and will make a deal, just like I got India and Pakistan to make, in that case by using TRADE with the United States to bring reason, cohesion, and sanity into the talks with two excellent leaders who were able to quickly make a decision and STOP!" Trump wrote.

Trump's Claims of International Mediation

The former president highlighted several international disputes he allegedly helped resolve during his administration, including tensions between Serbia and Kosovo, as well as a conflict between Egypt and Ethiopia regarding a dam project affecting the Nile River.

"I stopped it (Biden has hurt the longer term prospects with some very stupid decisions, but I will fix it, again!)," Trump claimed regarding the Serbia-Kosovo situation, without providing evidence for his assertions.

He further stated, "There is peace, at least for now, because of my intervention, and it will stay that way! Likewise, we will have PEACE, soon, between Israel and Iran! Many calls and meetings now taking place."

The former president concluded his post with a complaint: "I do a lot, and never get credit for anything, but that's OK, the PEOPLE understand."

Escalating Middle East Tensions

Trump's comments come amid heightened tensions following Israel's airstrikes on Iran, which reportedly killed several top military officials on Thursday night. Iran retaliated by firing hundreds of ballistic missiles toward Israel, resulting in at least three casualties, according to Israeli authorities.

Just a day before his Truth Social post, Trump had issued a threat directed at Iran regarding its conflict with Israel, further inserting himself into the diplomatic situation.

The ongoing conflict has raised international concerns about regional stability and the potential for wider escalation in the Middle East.
