WWE legend The Undertaker, whose real name is Mark Calaway, underwent emergency heart surgery just days after WrestleMania this year, according to a revelation from his wife Michelle McCool.

The shocking health scare was disclosed during an episode of Calaway's Six Feet Under podcast, where McCool explained the reason behind her emotional state during her WWE Hall of Fame induction in April.

"I felt that when people would come up to congratulate me and ask how I was doing, I was almost in tears. I would say I'm okay, but they could tell I wasn't," McCool revealed on the podcast.

"They thought it was probably just because of the speech, but it was because of the heart issues you had been having weeks prior, which we found out by the grace of God," she continued.

The situation escalated quickly after wrestling's biggest event of the year. "It ended up being terrifying, the day we got home from WrestleMania, the next morning at 6am, we were at the hospital for heart surgery," McCool added.

Legendary Career and Current Role

The Undertaker retired in 2020 after one of the most storied careers in professional wrestling history, spanning three decades. Since his in-ring retirement, Calaway has maintained his connection with WWE through his Six Feet Under podcast, where he shares insights and stories from his illustrious career.

The 59-year-old wrestling icon is widely regarded as one of the greatest performers in WWE history, known for his supernatural character, unmatched longevity, and his legendary WrestleMania streak.

No further details about Calaway's current health status have been provided, but the timing of the surgery highlights the serious nature of the situation that the wrestling legend faced.
