Nigerian businessman Simon Guobadia has suffered a major setback in his ongoing divorce proceedings with Real Housewives of Atlanta (RHOA) star Porsha Williams, as the court has ruled to enforce their prenuptial agreement.

The 61-year-old entrepreneur will now be required to divide substantial assets with Williams, 43, following the court's decision after months of legal wrangling.

Details of the Prenuptial Agreement

According to reports, the enforced prenuptial agreement will compel Guobadia to "split the equity of his $7,000,000 million pre-marital home (the Marital Residence) with Williams, and pay significant debts and expenses" for her benefit.

The businessman had contested the validity of the prenup, claiming he only agreed to its terms based on Williams' "misrepresentations" about leaving the popular reality show RHOA. However, his arguments failed to convince the court.

Timeline of Events

Williams filed for divorce in February 2024 after just 15 months of marriage. The legal proceedings faced several delays when Guobadia was taken into custody by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), resulting in postponed hearings.

Reports indicate that Guobadia has since returned to Nigeria while the legal battle continued in the United States.

The court's decision marks a significant victory for Williams in what has become a high-profile divorce case between the reality TV star and the Nigerian entrepreneur.

This development adds another chapter to the growing list of celebrity divorces involving substantial financial settlements and property divisions.
